PROJECT XENO | Points to Consider When Selling NFTs
Before we explore the process of selling NFTs, let’s understand the crucial points you need to consider. Did you know that some NFT in Project XENO can be sold, while others can’t? Moreover, there are conditions, such as not being able to sell for 2 weeks after purchase.
Let’s first look at these considerations before preparing to sell!
Key Points:
- Free XENO cannot be listed.
- Deck-placed XENO cannot be listed.
- Only Rare or higher Charm/Weapon NFTs can be listed
- NFTs cannot be listed within 2 weeks from purchase.
- A 6% sales commission is charged.
- If XENO decreases, treasure stock also decreases.
- Sales profit is in USDT, not market money.
Point 1: Free XENO Cannot be Listed
XENO received from the game tutorial is not an NFT, hence cannot be listed.
Other differences include being unable to enhance statuses or earn U-coins as battle rewards. However, this doesn’t mean free players can’t earn. For ways to earn in Project XENO without spending, please check the following article:

Point 2: Deck-placed XENO Cannot be Listed
Be careful as XENO that are placed in the deck cannot be listed. To list it, you need to remove it from the deck.
This can be done from the app.
Tap DECK and open the battle deck.
Tap on the XENO you wish to unlist, and then tap the door icon to remove it.
Point 3: Only Rare+ Charms/Weapons Can be Listed
Charms and Weapons have rarities: COMMON, UNCOMMON, RARE, EPIC, LEGEND.
Only RARE, EPIC, and LEGEND are NFTs, meaning only they can be listed for sale.
Be cautious when buying as well!
Point 4: 2-week Listing Restriction for All NFT
Due to fraudulent transactions during the early release, all NFTs have a 2-week listing restriction. This includes NFTs acquired from NFT-BOX.
However, if you’re a GXE Partner, there’s no such restriction and you can list immediately after purchase.
What is a GXE Partner?
A system where users who meet certain conditions, such as holding over 10,000 GXE, receive various benefits. The benefits and conditions vary over time.
Point 5: A 6% Fee is Deducted from NFT Sales
When selling an NFT, a 6% fee is charged to the seller.
This amount will be displayed when listing, so ensure you check it before selling.
Buyers don’t incur any fees.
Point 6: Reduced XENO May Decrease Treasure Stock
In Project XENO, the upper limit of your treasure stock varies based on the number of XENOs you own. So, selling an NFT might reduce your treasure stock.
See the table below for details of the relationship between the number of XENOs you own and your inventory level:
Number of NFT XENO | SLOT limit | Number of simultaneous openings |
0 | 4 | 1 |
1 | 5 | 1 |
4 | 6 | 1 |
9 | 6 | 2 |
12 | 7 | 2 |
16 | 8 | 2 |
22 | 9 | 2 |
30 | 9 | 3 |
If you own 9 NFT and you sell one, your simultaneous opening number decreases by 1. Decide carefully!
Point 7: Profit in USDT, not Market Money
When purchasing NFTs, you use an in-game currency specific to Project XENO’s marketplace called Market Money.
However, remember that the currency received when selling is the cryptocurrency USDT, not Market Money.
PROJECT XENO| How to Sell NFT
Here is how to sell NFT in Project XENO:
- Step 1: Create a MetaMask Wallet
- Step 2: Connect MetaMask to My Page
- Step 3: List from My Page
- Step 4: Upon sale, USDT reflects in the wallet
Step 1: Create a MetaMask Wallet
First, you need to create a wallet to receive USDT after selling an NFT. Project XENO supports the MetaMask wallet, so let’s create one with MetaMask.
If you don’t already have a wallet, check out the following article which includes a visual guide:
How to create a MetaMask wallet
Step 2: Connect MetaMask to My Page
Access the official Project XENO website and connect the MetaMask wallet you created.
Once you are on My Page, click the edit icon in the top-left of the screen.
Click on the Change button in the wallet address section. MetaMask will open automatically, so follow the prompts to connect.
Step 3: List from My Page
From the icons on the left side of My Page, select the item you want to list. For instance, if you want to list a XENO, click on the topmost XENO button. You’ll then see all the XENOs you currently possess, so click on the one you wish to sell. Finally, click the list button, set your price, and you’re done listing!
Step 4: Upon sale, USDT reflects in the wallet
Once the item you listed sells, USDT will reflect in the previously connected wallet. USDT is versatile, so you can accumulate it or convert it to cash for use.
PROJECT XENO| Conclusion
Selling NFT in Project XENO involves just three steps:
- Step 1: Create a wallet with MetaMask
- Step 2: Connect MetaMask to My Page
- Step 3: List from My Page
When the NFT you’ve listed sells, USDT is credited to your wallet. One of the key features of this is that unlike game currencies like market money, there’s no need for conversions. However, there are seven points to note when selling NFT:
- Free XENO cannot be listed.
- Deck-placed XENO cannot be listed.
- Only Rare or higher Charm/Weapon NFT can be listed
- Cannot list for sale within 2 weeks of purchase.
- A 6% sales commission is charged.
- If XENO decreases, treasure stock also decreases.
- Sales profit is in USDT, not market money.
Many might not be aware of the point that free XENOs cannot be listed.
Please remember these points for a smooth trading experience!
